Sinatra Tribute on June 1st

Ol’ Blue Eyes is back!

Join the High School Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble on Wednesday, June 1st at 7:30 PM for a night of Frank Sinatra’s best known hits!

Music from the song books of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Cole Porter, Sammy Nestico, Julie Stein, Stephen Sondheim, Antonio Jobim, and Jeff Lorber will be featured.

Joining the students is Mr. Chris Podeswa – a noted jazz singer in the style of Frank Sinatra. In fact, Chris Podeswa’s father was Lou Podeswa, a featured member of the Earle Pudney Show on WRGB in the 50’s and 60’s. After retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, Chris began working in Saratoga Springs School District. Chris’s daughter, Kaylie, will be accompanying her dad as a member of the trumpet section of the jazz band.

This is sure to be a memorable night for all. Come on out and show some love to these hard working musicians, their teachers, and Chris Podeswa.
